Church Guidelines for Worship until further notice!!

Faith Lutheran Church Beeville, Texas

Guidelines for Gathering  as a Congregation

During COVID-19

It is recommended if you are 65 years old or older, or have a compromised immune system, or if you think you are sick with anything, or you think you have been exposed, or you do not feel comfortable being in public; that you stay home. Please if you must be tested please make sure it is a reliable test, not quick test, and you recieve a negative result prior to returning to service.

(The service will continue to be live-streamed on Facebook).

Face mask are required as per order of the Governor of Texas, and for the safety of others!

The Church building will be disinfected and clean at least once a week.

No bulletins will be available, all hymnals, Bibles, attendance cards, envelopes & pencils will be removed from the pews.

At this time we will allow singing; however, everyone that choose to sing must wear a mask while singing!

At this time there will be no Ushers/Greeters.

A master attendance sheet will need to be completed by a council member every Sunday. (Because there will be no attendance cards in the pews)

An offering plate will be placed in the narthex or you may give your offering electronically through, or Pay Pal on the Church website.

Offering will be picked up and counted only by Cindy Hilliard, Church treasurer.

Entrance to the building will be only through the back parking lot door which will stay propped open at all times. Please refrain from touching the door or handles. Those with keys to the building please do not use your keys to come in by any other door!

Members will enter the building and head straight to the sanctuary without congregating in any areas of the building.

The pews will be marked with colored twine, every 6’ and every other pew; only members of the same household will be allowed to sit together.

We will pass the peace from your seat with a wave or peace hand sign.

Expect announcement at the beginning and the end of the service to remind members of expectations, not to shake hands, hug or kiss one another; reminders to wash hands or use personal hand sanitizer, cough or sneeze in your elbow.

At this time, we will celebrate Communion on the second and fourth Sunday of the month. Pastor Gary will explain how communion will be conducted.

In order to assist the church, please use personal hand sanitizer before and after entering the building. If possible, some hand sanitizer will be available (see designated persons).

After the service as you leave the sanctuary, please pick up any and all your belongings and trash and take with you. Please exit the building and do not congregate in the halls or any part of the building.

There will be no altar guild duties at this time. This will be handled by Beverly Schauer only.

The above guidelines are a combination of Federal, State, Local and ELCA regulations & recommendations.

Please be wise, flexible, and compassionate, putting the needs of the most vulnerable first.

***Thank you for your flexibility and adaptation to our current situation. ***
